Player Bio: Alex Dixon

So all three signings today have been former players of Jimmy. This is good news folks. Great to see that Jimmy is getting the players that he is familiar with and that also know his brand of football.

Alex Dixon, a winger, has played with the OKC Energy since 2017 where he has had some great productivity running up and down the channels of the pitch. He as scored 18 goals in 65 appearances. He is lauded as a very consistent performer for OKC, as he is one of the leaders in minutes for the club. He is a former North Carolina Tar Heel, where like Woj also seemed to perform his best when the lights were brightest. He netted 3 goals during the 2009 NCAA tournament including 2 GW goals against Indiana and Drake.

Alex seems like a great two way player with great work ethic and high energy on the sidelines. He also proves that he knows how to finish when he finds himself inside the box. A known speedster on the edge, Alex will surely reek havoc on defenses up and down the flanks. With both Woj and Jose in the box waiting, Alex will have some great targets to whip crosses into setting up a 3-headed monster on attack for Hartford Athletic this upcoming season.

Watch this great technique on a half volley as Alex riffles it in the back of the net.
